Low tide at 2030 but wanted to catch the wind before it died, so went out at about 1730 despite the fact it was still a little deep. Had a better day than yesterday as the wind was more reliable. Had a good few runs then, while out at sea, my board slipped off...

The tide was against the fairly feeble wind, so I could never get back to the board, no matter how much I tried bodydragging upwind. After about half an hour I lost the board completely. Spent the whole evening looking for it, but fear the tide has taken it away. Phoned the coastguard to let him know.
Gutted.
Shem's right... it always seems to happen to me! At least it wasn't my new board.
